The first Community of Practice meeting for Business Studies will take place on Wednesday 14th April at 7pm. This initial workshop will focus primarily on the following:
- Helpful tools and tips for teaching Business Studies online, including platforms to enable instant answer feedback and communication with students.
- A variety of teaching methodologies to include in our planning and daily lessons with students online.
- The integration and use of a stylus pen to incorporate into our online learning platforms and assist in our teaching strategies.
- Useful platforms for generating data and examples for a variety of topics.
A discussion will take place at this initial meeting to uncover the emerging needs of the group and to effectively plan for the next meeting. The possibility of a guest speaker will be explored, as well as any other areas that teachers feel they require support in going forward.
The objective of this Community of Practice is to bring together teachers of Business Studies and build a network and database of sharing resources which may be incorporated into our teaching methodologies. We hope to encourage and facilitate discussion amongst teachers in an attempt to maximise the level of knowledge and expertise gained during each session.
