Chess for Beginners- Learn to play Chess and share your knowledge of the game with your students/family.  

CHESS for BEGINNERS  will continue every Wednesday evening up to and inclusive of Wednesday 16th June @ 5 p.m.

This course is aimed at primary school teachers, SNAs & Parents who would like to learn the basics of chess themselves with a view to teaching it to their pupils, or with the child/children you assist in your position as SNA or with your children.

Chess is suited to all ages and promotes key skills such as thinking, attention, problem-solving and concentration. It is very suited to school settings.

No previous knowledge is assumed or necessary and the course will consist of six 45 minute  sessions.

Wednesday April 14th, 21st, 28th and May 5th, 12th and 19th at 5 pm each evening for 45 minutes.
