Cosán Workshop Programme Series 3 - (Workshop 1 of 3)

A series of 3 workshops to support cultures of collaborative reflection in schools and enhance the impact of teachers’ professional learning. 

 The ESCI (Education Support Centres Ireland) and the Teaching Council are co-hosting a series of three workshops for teachers interested in harnessing the power of professional learning to support their needs. 

The workshops are facilitated by practising teachers and will provide opportunities for schools to learn from each other through reflective conversations that are underpinned by Cosán, the National Framework for Teachers’ Learning. Facilitators will provide helpful tools and strategies to support teachers and school leaders in the development of flexible, autonomous, and context-relevant professional learning experiences for all. 

Schools are invited to nominate three staff members (including one middle or senior leader) to engage in the workshops. 

To ensure maximum flexibility for participants, Wexford Education Support Centre is collaborating with Kilkenny Education Centre and Waterford Teachers' Centre to co-host workshops.

Kilkenny Education Centre is offering in-person and hybrid workshops while Wexford Education Support Centre and Waterford Teachers' Centre are offering online workshops only. 

Teachers attending, from the same school, are strongly encouraged to attend workshops in the same Education Centre and delivery mode. For example, if three teachers, from the same school, commence the workshops through the online format with Wexford Education Support Centre, they are strongly encouraged to complete the three workshops through Wexford Education Support Centre and through the online format.

Those attending the workshops through the online format with Wexford Education Support Centre will receive a zoom link to log into the workshops in advance of each event.

Workshop 1 – Tuesday 18 October 2022 @ 6 to 8pm

Workshop 2 – Tuesday 10 January 2023 @ 6 to 8pm

Workshop 3 – Tuesday 21 March 2023 @ 6pm to 8pm
