EPV Approved - Better Breathing For Everyone

Better Breathing for Everyone is a practical and engaging EPV approved course designed to support teachers in promoting wellbeing, inclusion, and positive learning environments within their schools. Grounded in accessible, evidence-informed practice, the course explores the significant role that healthy breathing plays in supporting concentration, emotional regulation, and overall resilience for both students and staff.

Aligned with key wellbeing indicators within the School Self-Evaluation (SSE) process, this course provides teachers with a deeper understanding of how breathing patterns can impact behaviour, engagement, and readiness to learn. Participants will explore common dysfunctional breathing habits and learn how to recognise and respond to these in a supportive, inclusive way.

The course offers a range of simple, practical strategies that can be easily embedded into everyday classroom routines, supporting calm, focus, and a sense of safety for all learners. These approaches are particularly beneficial in supporting students with additional needs, including those experiencing anxiety or sensory challenges, thereby contributing to a more inclusive classroom environment.

Through guided practice, reflection, and collaborative discussion, teachers will also be encouraged to prioritise their own wellbeing.
By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with practical, sustainable strategies that support SSE wellbeing goals, enhance classroom climate, and contribute to a whole-school approach to wellbeing and inclusion.

Summer Course Booking Policy

Our summer courses are booked on the condition that the course fee is non-refundable.

Wexford Education Support Centre reserves the right to cancel a Summer Course where there are not sufficient numbers to run the course. A full refund will be offered if this happens or you may also choose to reserve a place on an alternative course. 

Please note: Participants attending Summer Courses receive the following number of EPV days:  

• Full Attendance (20 Hours): 3 EPV Days
• 4 Days Attendance (16 Hours): 2 EPV Days 
• No EPV days will be awarded for less than 4 days attendance
• Please note: Closing Date for Registration is Friday 19th June 2026
