The 3 Key Learning Outcomes:
Teachers (and SNAs) will become familiar with the relevant circulars and policy documents related to their role
Teachers (and SNAs) will understand the principals of the proposed ‘School Inclusion Model’ and the likely impact of its implementation in our schools.
SNAs will appreciate the importance of strong communication and collaboration with the teachers in the planning and implementation of pupil support and the need for coordination of strategies with the teacher’s support, through the exploration of Personal Pupil Plan (PPP) templates and sample completed plans.
SNAs will understand the necessity of having in place planning and record keeping systems related to their work in supporting pupils and through the examination of sample record keeping documents, will be aware of how to develop and maintain these records.
Teachers (and SNAs) will explore effective strategies that they can implement in supporting pupils that will facilitate the pupil to access the curriculum and related school activities, while also promoting independence skills.
