Know the Score - Senior Cycle Substance Use

Know the Score is a collection of 14, evidence-based, substance use lessons for Senior Cycle students (15-18yrs). It is a resource for addressing substance use in Senior Cycle. The resource contains 14 lesson plans addressing alcohol and drug use using interactive and experiential teaching methodologies. The manual will be available in Irish from late 2022.

Although the resource can be freely downloaded, the following training is recommended:

2 hour online training, recommended for experienced SPHE teachers

10th of November 4:00-6:00 PM Online

19th Jnauary 2023 from 9:30-3:30 PM in Kilkenny Education Centre

Please note this training cannot be book until closer to the time when booking link will be provided.

Substitution cover is only available for in-person training. Substitution claims can be made after the course has been completed through the Online System, using the code 'Professional Development 2'. Only post primary teachers on the Dept. of Educations payroll will be able to make these claims.
