Learning Outcomes 

With the French classes, you can improve your communicative proficiency, your language awareness and develop your cultural awareness. Besides, Learning the basics of French is an essential aspect for teaching this language in view of the new Primary Language Curriculum. Indeed, the Primary Curriculum Framework quote “Language learning enables children to understand the world around them and to communicate effectively with others. Communication takes many forms and is often multimodal. Exposure to a wide variety of texts fosters children’s appreciation for and enjoyment of literature from different cultures. Language enables children to engage emotionally, socially, cognitively,imaginatively, and aesthetically in relationships and cultural experiences. Providing children with opportunities to be creative through language fosters a sense of enjoyment in their language learning. It supports the introduction of modern foreign languages in stages 3 and 4”

I am a native French speaker and I have been a French teacher since 2020. I provide language courses for children and adults to learn French. I provide conversational classes for those who want to practice, maintain and improve their French. I also do preparation for exams: junior certificate, leaving certificate, university exam, DELF A2, B1 and B2 (DELF are official diplomas issued by the French Ministry of Education, with exams in Ireland) I have been a French teacher in l’Alliance française from January 2023 : I teach adult group and private classes (all levels : beginners to experienced participants). I also have been a French teacher in St Peter’s college (Wexford, Ireland) for 6 months in 2022 : I was subbing for 3rd to 6th year. Finally, I have as well taught French with the ’Say Yes to Languages’ Primary Sampler Module in 2021-2022 : 9 classes of 6 hours in 3 different primary schools. Qualification : Master’s degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language in progress.
