Module 1

Topic: The Strategic Leader

Audience: Primary and Post Primary Aspiring Leaders.

Summary:

The course will cover the forward-looking perspective of strategic leadership which is long-term and which moves beyond the day-to-day organisational demands in any school. The course will examine leadership as a setting of direction in a holistic sense which is concerned with the broad aims, values and mission of the school.

Eamonn is a retired principal of Piercestown N.S., Drinagh, Co. Wexford.  He has tutored for many years in many curricular and extracurricular areas.  He is particularly interested in quality leadership, chess and numeracy, is a qualified TiE tutor and is currently a lecturer with Hibernia College, DCU and St. Nicholas Montessori College.
