• Prepare to bring the Primary Language Curriculum to life in your classroom for English and Gaeilge. This face-to-face summer course, facilitated by the PDST, will highlight practical, playful and engaging learning experiences to develop the learning outcomes of the PLC and how these are reflected in the new Primary Curriculum Framework. Beidh cothromaíocht le linn na seachtaine idir mhúineadh an Bhéarla agus múineadh na Gaeilge.

• Learning outcomes:

  Along with an exploration of each of the strands of the Primary Language Curriculum/Curaclam Teanga na Bunscoile, this practical course will explore:

  Links between the PLC and Primary Curriculum Framework, preparation for teaching and learning, assessment, linguistic diversity, digital literacy, an cur chuige cumarsáideach, aistriú scileanna and cross curricular learning opportunities. Bígí linn!

• Dates:  Mon 3rd to Fri 7th July 2023 inclusive (20 hrs in total).
• Times: 9.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. (daily)
• Lunch: A light lunch will be provided daily at 11.30 a.m.  
• Venue: Wexford Education Support Centre, Milehouse Road, Enniscorthy.  Y21 T271 
• Facilitated by:  Carmel Linehan 
• Fee: €25.00 Admin fee. 
• All our summer courses are booked on the condition that the course fee is non-refundable. Course Fees are not transferrable to another teacher. Unfortunately, if you wish to cancel your place on one of our courses or you are unable to attend the course, we are not in a position to refund fees. The course fee can only be refunded if the Education Centre cancels the course.
