The next Community of Practice for Post-Primary Teachers of English will take place on Tuesday 5 December at 7pm, focusing on approaches to teaching The Shawshank Redemption - as part of The Comparative Study - with guest presenter Conor Murphy.

This session will focus on practical approaches that teachers can take in using The Shawshank Redemption as a text in The Comparative Study. The Shawshank Redemption (1994) - starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman and directed by Frank Darabont - will undoubtedly prove to be a popular text choice in the Leaving Certificate course for 2024 and 2025. With Conor’s passion and knowledge for all things film, this is certainly a webinar not to be missed by any English teacher.
The session will last for approximately one hour and is aimed at all post-primary teachers of English.
