Audience: Primary and Post-Primary Aspiring Leaders.
Summary:
This course will cover the place of values at the heart of education and of every school. It will focus on respectful, trusting relationships with individuals in every school community and on the importance of self-development and self-care for the school leader.
Learning Outcomes:
Participants in this course will be enabled to
- Understand the characteristics of ethical leadership
- Learn about various levels of ethical practice
- Connect a broader understanding of ethical practice with the Teaching Council Code of Professional Conduct

Facilitated by: Eamonn Barrett
Eamonn is a retired principal of Piercestown N.S., Drinagh, Co. Wexford. He has tutored for many years in many curricular and extracurricular areas. He is particularly interested in quality leadership, chess and numeracy, is a qualified TiE tutor and is currently a lecturer with Hibernia College, DCU and St. Nicholas Montessori College.
