TREX Digital Badge - Using Evidence for Wellbeing in Educational Settings

Wellbeing is a multi-faceted concept and whilst we are all very aware of the need to enhance this as much as possible in our educational settings, it can be difficult to know what the best strategy is to use.

This course will give you an opportunity to consider the current well-being practices in your own educational setting and to look at relevant research evidence that could inform future practice or initiatives in your own context.

Course Format

• 3 Live Webinar Sessions (facilitated via Zoom)
• 4 Self-directed online modules (completed in your own time, at your own pace)
• 3 peer group meetings with your Peer Triad*, online, hybrid or in-person. (the group decides)
• 3 forum posts on www.trex.ie
• Tutor support offered throughout, via online support sessions and email/phone.

*The Peer Triad system means that you experience the course with other colleagues and share perspectives on the course content. At the end of the course, each member of the Triad confirms to the facilitators that the others have taken part in the process and that plays a major role in the release of the digital badge to certify completion.

Action Plan for Supporting Mental Health and Wellbeing in your school

Having engaged with all course content, you will be asked to complete a short Action Plan detailing how you can make research-evidence classroom ready. (Note: you are not required to carry out this Action Plan as part of the Digital Badge although you may choose to proceed with your Action Plan in your own educational setting on completion of the course). You will be supported by peers and tutors in the completion of this Action Plan.
