Editing, What Software Is Out There and How to Use Them
This is the final night of the Film Production Workshops.

This course is suitable for Primary Teachers, Post-Primary Teachers, SNA's and Parents interested in learning more about Film Production.
Learning Outcomes
- Learn what equipment you really need for smartphone video.
- How to get more from your camera phone and webcam,
- The ability to light for video.
- What is good sound and how to get it.
- To have an understanding of what editing packages are available. An understanding of some editing techniques.
- Basic ability to edit footage into useable content.
About the Facilitator
Chris has been making television for over 20 years in one medium or another. He started as an editor and then went over to London where he trained and worked as a lighting cameraman. He was formally trained in Lighting, Camera work both video and film and photography, editing and production.
Chris worked in the UK on television series for Channel 4, BBC, Sky, MTV and Corporates.
When he moved back to Ireland, he filmed series like Show House, The Restaurant, Ear to the Ground, and lots of other programs, where he was the head Cameraman. He also photographed all the food for these programs, which later turned into books. In 2014 a short film he was the Director of Photography on, won the Consular Award in the Chicago Film Festival.
Chris always had a passion for the internet and studied code. He knew the internet would be our next medium. So he learned how to build websites and apps.
