Read and Write is a text-to-speech program that provides visual and auditory feedback of text. ... Hear web pages and documents read aloud to improve reading comprehension, with a choice of natural voices . It helps students to understand unfamiliar words with text and picture dictionaries. Students can develop writing skills with word prediction using the software on the Read and Write Ribbon. They can also convert notes into Audio files and save them on their iPods etc. and much more.
Learning Outcomes
- To introduce educators to the range of Assistive Technology Software on the Read and Write Ribbon.
- To help educators develop an understanding and implementation of Read and Write software in the classroom
- To help educators develop an understanding of the ways in which the Assistive Technologies translate to the home
